At Body Lab, we offer 2 solutions for cellulite reduction: Zwave and Viora. After your initial consultation, we will recommend one or both treatments alone or in combination to target your specific needs.
Pulse Therapy Cellulite Removal
Z-Wave is so popular because it is effective. It uses large bursts of pulsing energy in the form of radial shockwaves that break up tissues around the cellulite. As the tissues are broken, the gas bubbles that surround the tissues and cause the dimpled appearance are also broken, leading to a flattening and smoothing of the skin. It is a wonderful option if you maintain a healthy weight yet still struggle with lumpy skin from cellulite. Not only can it be used on the typical cellulite treatment zone of the upper thighs, it is also hugely effective on the abdomen, upper arms and buttocks.
Because Z-Wave cellulite treatment is non-invasive and requires no anesthetic, you will be able to continue with the rest of your normal day following treatment. You should begin noticing visible changes in your cellulite formation within two to three treatments, but you may need up to 6 to 10 treatments. The treatment typically does not leave any marks behind on your skin, and you will be able to shower and bathe as usual following treatment.
Viora Laser Therapy
The Viora is designed to tighten the skin, contour the body, and reduce cellulite. This state-of-the-art radio frequency treatment has more dynamic frequency options when compared to similar treatments. By combining a multi-frequency approach with vacuum therapy, the Viora can target the treatment area with extreme precision. Regardless of skin type, this non-surgical procedure can help rejuvenate your face and body for a tighter, more contoured and youthful appearance.
How does it work?
Collagen production begins to decline as we grow older, which can cause the initial signs of age to gradually develop. Premature wrinkles and sagging skin can make us look older than we feel on the inside. With the Viora, the experts at Body Lab can target the areas of the face and body that have begun to exhibit these signs, effectively stimulating new collagen production and reversing the effects of collagen loss. By harnessing the power of the CORE (Channeled Optimal RF energy) technology, the Viora utilizes three distinct RF frequency channels and a 4th dimension multi-channel mode to create a highly dynamic and effective approach to radio frequency treatment.
To achieve the safest and most effective results, the Viora balances frequency, intensity, and a cooling system that can be customized depending upon the treatment area. The Viora system can cause the body’s tissues to immediately contract, often providing instant results. Our patients at Body Lab typically undergo four to eight treatments to maximize the outcome, ultimately achieving smoother, tighter skin. In addition, we recommend one final follow-up treatment every three to six months to help ensure long-lasting results.
Cellulite and Circumferential Reduction
To combat cellulite and sculpt the body, the Viora can heat subcutaneous tissue layers, stimulating collagen production and strengthening the dermis. This treatment can also help protect the body against adipocytes while simultaneously stimulating lipolysis to reduce the volume of fat cells. Viora's 4th dimension, multi-channel mode can evenly and accurately distribute therapeutic heat and enhance blood circulation. Combined with the Viora's vacuum therapy, you can receive the benefits of effective cellulite treatment, body sculpting, and skin tightening all at the same time. At Body Lab, we recommend eight treatment sessions to maximize the outcome, as well as one follow-up session every four to six months afterwards to help ensure long-lasting results.
What are the benefits of the Viora REACTION™?
Sun exposure, genetics, and the natural aging process can all cause the collagen in our skin to deplete. When collagen diminishes in the skin’s three major layers, sagging and wrinkling often occurs. Many skin-tightening treatments focus on stimulating the collagen in the visible outer layer of the skin—the epidermis. However, the Viora targets the epidermis as well as the collagen-rich dermis and subcutaneous layer for a more dynamic and comprehensive approach to skin tightening and collagen stimulation. In addition, this radio frequency treatment can tighten your existing collagen webs within the dermis, helping to achieve a more youthful, healthy skin appearance.
Who is a good candidate for the Viora REACTION™?
The Viora can be an excellent option for many people interested in skin smoothing and tightening, body shaping and contouring, and cellulite reduction. At Body Lab, our patients who opt for this advanced treatment are typically between the ages of 30 and 65. Though the procedure can be used on its own to address mild to moderate skin laxity, many individuals also take advantage of the benefits of the Viora to maximize the results of certain plastic surgery procedures, including facelift or liposuction. Since the Viora is a non-surgical procedure, it requires little to no downtime, often allowing you to return to your normal activities soon after treatment.
What are the possible treatment areas?
The Viora can be performed on all skin types to improve the appearance of the entire face, including the eyes, chin, neck, and upper lip. In addition, you can treat many areas of the body, such as:
Inner and Outer Thighs
What is the procedure like?
Treatment with the Viora will vary depending upon which area(s) of the body are targeted. For the face, patients will typically experience a brief pulse of thermal heat delivered by a handheld device, followed by a cooling sensation. During treatment, the radiofrequency (RF) energy can penetrate into the epidermis, dermis, and subcutaneous layers of the skin to maximize collagen stimulation. For body treatments, a vacuuming action is added to increase the range and depth of the RF energy. This added action can help move triglycerides and fatty acids out of the body’s fat cells and into the lymphatic system to enhance the body’s contours. There is generally no downtime associated with the Viora.
Is there any discomfort associated with treatment?
The heat applied to the skin with the Viora's handheld device is accompanied by a cooling tip to help protect the surface of your skin and minimize discomfort. Body procedures entail vacuum suctioning that can be adjusted to ensure you feel comfortable for the duration of your treatment session. In addition, we will apply a gel for the face or a glycerin oil for the body to help keep the skin cool.
Are there any side effects?
Some patients may experience mild swelling, bruising, or redness after the Viora treatment. Redness will typically resolve within a few hours, while any swelling or bruising should dissipate within a few days of the procedure. The Viora is not recommended for patients with implanted electrical devices such as pacemakers or internal defibrillators. In addition, if you are pregnant or suffer from an autoimmune disease, you should inform Body Lab during the consultation process.
How long before results appear?
Though many patients notice improvement in the skin’s appearance immediately following their procedure, the full benefits of the treatment will not be visible for about two months. During this time, your body can generate new collagen, gradually revealing smoother, tighter skin. To maintain your results, we recommend a maintenance treatment once every four to six months after the initial series of treatments is complete.
